Congratulations to Dr. Gerry Rodricks (Mr. Henrix), Nigel Khamkar (Ferdinad), Celia Henriques (Mrs. Henrix), Ludmila Mehrotra (Emily), Jude Carrasco (Walter) etc.

This morning we went to book the tickets but were all sold out.
However, I have sneaked into the auditorium around 8pm (after the interval) just to capture this..
..just for you..

Hi Joe ,

I was very fortunate to get tickets to the play from a kind benefactor ,at the very last moment. Besides the play what was truly amazing ,was the first part of the program before the play. The SMILES choir conducted by Dr Gerry Rodrigues was simply outstanding. They sang Battle Hymn of the Republic, Mozarts ABCD, roundels ,and a few other songs ,in perfect harmony. It was followed by a Mando session by a senior citizens group ,led by Mrs Yvette Noronha. The singing program concluded with a solo performance by Margaret Fernandes -- a vivacious, energetic senior citizen with an excellent stage presence .She got the audience to clap ,sing and join her while she belted out old time songs like "Viva Espagna" " Its a wonderful world "

I admire these senior citizens who are channelising their energy and doing something constructive with their time .Youngsters could learn a thing or two from this lively group. This program was their maiden venture ,and Im sure with the encouraging response that they received ,they will plan for future programs.

Regards,
