Floriano, while agreeing with you on the need to oppose SEZs tooth and nail, I find that you have not addressed the apprehension that many people have about GMAS -- that it is a BJP-backed and controlled campaign. That would be fine in itself, if not for the fact that when it comes to actual action, the BJP is the same as the Congress when it comes to SEZs or any other form of 'development'. Ample evidence for this comes from the BJP's own track record when in power (both in Goa and at the centre), and the fact that the Assembly sessions end up as love feasts between the government and the opposition when it comes to such issues, with much noise but no meaningful action. Verily, all 40 bandits in the assembly are the same. While Matanhy's credibility is high, it appears that the BJP is only using him and the GMAS as one more strategy towards its real objective -- to unseat the current government and get into power itself. Once this is achieved, the BJP will abandon its anti-SEZ plank, and bye-bye GMAS. -- Question everything -- Karl Marx
