HAZURR Those days around this time of the year, we used to go for 'Chunnam, Kannddam & hazur'
Goa Hazur or Khajur is a mini version of 'dates' It's tiny but taste the same. This dates colour when raw is Green and then it turns Red and finally when riped it becomes black -see pic The bigger dates and these tiny dates have one thing in common.. The seeds are of same size. We used to leave it in the dark place such as underneath the bed etc. Most red 'dates' would turn into black next morning. I also remember some migrant people used to come and tap the toddy from this Palm or dates tree, how they did it I don't remember now.
