I remember it all, Mother.........by Dr Samir Heble And the world opened out . My tiny lungs ballooned out.
And as I let my shrill cry , I could see your ecstatic smile through the corners of my eyes. Sticky and ticklish , I felt on top of you. But I just loved every bit of you. Your soft skin, your warm embrace, Your silent beauty, your un tinged grace. I woke you up endlessly through the nights. And yet you made my days so very colourful and bright. You taught me to hold the knife and fork And with your incessant patience took up all my homework. Frolicking on the waves, picnicking on the mountains. I remember having fun in the pools and the fountains. And one fine day, I had to go With graceful elegance, you let me do so. You taught me to carry virtuous thoughts wherever I'd go. And to share with the world the conviction and faith in me that you sowed. And when I fell in deep and turbulent waters , You taught me that it courage and hope is what that matters. You taught me to do things, without expectations and taught me to value unconditionally the intrinsic beauty of His creations. The lamp you carry inside you , it glitters and radiates Your compassion and kindness , it perpetually permeates. I remember it all, Mother : The dedication, the toil, The untold, unsung sacrifices , The hearty laughs and the hidden cries. Dr. Samir Heble
