Panaji's Deputy Mayor, Mr. Yatin Parekh may be the only one, of the hordes
to have made official trips abroad, to make some observations on his trip.
With modern technology all these foreign trips are a wasteful expenditure as
all information and knowledge one seeks is on the internet. These so called
learning expeditions are virtually shopping, sightseeing and merry-making
jaunts at taxpayer's expense.
Back from his China trip, Yatin Parekh has lambasted the builders and
planners for the rape of Panaji. It would have been nice if he could have
had the guts to give a tip or two to the his boss, the Mayor of Panaji Mr.
Tony Rodrigues who is constructing, against all norms, a complex of 8 storey
buildings on a hilly area at Ribandar.
