Dear Goankars,
Lets not accuse Goans or anyone else of being "gullible".
Please remember:- (A) All these MLMs use young foreigners to market their
producrts at every meeting.
(B) We are all aware of the the Indian fascination with "white-skinned
foreigners".
(C) Only members, at the top of the pyramid, make money and will always show
xerox of their "first MLM cheque". Always ask them for xerox of their
present Bank statement which will show you how much they have actually
received recently, from the MLM.
(D) The MLM sales and marketing team are really fantastic, and, are trained
to reply positively, to all your negative questions.
(E) These MLMs befriend the "bukra" and visit her/his house frequently,
so........... watchout.

MLM scams in Goa

Sandeep Heble's letter regarding MLM (Herald, 8 May) refers to
'Salient Online'. I wish to tell Goan readers that we are not vigilant
enough and very gullible. A few years back, there was a big scam
perpetrated on Goans by one Vasant Pandit from Mumbai, called 'Japan
Life'.
