Dear Mapsemkars
Lots of letters have appeared in the newspapers asking Mapusmekars to wake up
and save Mapuca. I am surprised that many letters have been written by people
living outside Mapuca showing concern to Mapuca whereas our real Mapusemkars
specially the gaunkars of Mapuca have not said anything. Is'nt it time for us
to wake up and check buildings coming up in Mapuca some on the slope, others
close to the road? Those which are already ready do not have an inch of parking
place. Imagine a comercial building has very little parking place so how do you
expect people to come to trade will keep their cars, trucks, two wheelers three
wheelers ? Take a simple example of our banks. You name any bank and outside
there is very little I mean very little parking place which is already been
used by the staff of the bank as they are early birds. The next part is blocked
either by the bank or the next door businessman. If you park on the road side
you are fined. If you are influencial you may keep
it right in the middle of the road. One such building is coming just on the
climb to the Mapuca Municipality and it looks like a comercial complex. Once it
is ready a security person will ask you not to keep your vehicle inside the
premises even if you have to go to that place. The other day the security at
bank of Baroda stopped me from parking my two wheeler on the road as I was
supposed to leave that space for people to enter the bank. I forcebly kept my
bike over there and walked inside the bank to have a word with the manager and
gave him my sermon.
