SPLASH MAY QUEEN 2008 - BAHRAIN
The biggest show organized by Goans in the Middle East, the SPLASH May Queen
2008 - beauty pageant and dance evening hosted by Young Goans Club (YGC) takes
place at the Marina Club poolside, Manama-Bahrain on May 22, 2008 from 8.30 pm
onwards.
Twenty contestants of different nationalities short listed by the organizers
will take to the catwalk to face a panel of five judges in the SPLASH MAY
QUEEN 2008 organized by the Young Goans Club - Bahrain. The shortlisted
contestants are from Kuwait of the recently held Summer Queen of the Goan
Cultural Centre, from Qatar of the Goan Welfare Associations May Queen held on
May 8. Other participants are from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The contestants
will be judged in three rounds. Round one will display casual or sporty wear,
and round two will be of formal wear. In the third round, the contestants will
be tested for their intellectual brilliance.
Beside the main SPLASH MAY QUEEN 2008 title, the contestants can also stake
claim to awards for the 'Best Smile', 'Best Hair-do', and 'Miss Photogenic'.
The event will be choreographed by Kevin D'Cunha. Well-known Goan Master of
Ceremonies G.R.Crasto will conduct the proceedings and popular Radio Bahrain DJ
Krazy Kevin will host the beauty pageant.

Top band - The Aryan Fame will be in attendance. The event will also feature
DJ Alfie of Music and Lights who will also cover stage effects, sound and
lighting.
Prizes for the winners include jewellery, air-tickets, beauty product hampers,
electronic items and gift vouchers.
This mega event on the entertainment calendar of the club is sponsored by
Splash, Oman Air, Home Electronics and KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre, CitiBank
and Jashanmals.
