RESPONSE: My stand on Caste is simple: I abhor it, if it impinges on
others. As Chris and some others have pointed out, the Caste issues
in Goa are benign. Thankfully Goans do not suffer the ill effect of
Caste as in other parts of India. For that matter, Goans have no
problems in the U.K., our Community does not clandestinely cart of
sons and daughters for arranged marriages in the sub Continent, as is
quite frequently done by other Indian/Pakistani communities.
I have had no problems on my visits to Goa on Caste issues, I do not
belong to any Caste...I am Casteless. I married for love, my wife and
I met each other in school.
