RESPONSE: I am unaware that Goans too, go in 'Hell bent' for
preserving the Caste system, female infanticide and the castigation of
children who get married for love. This surely would be an exception,
rather than the rule.
You write as though you have experienced this first hand, therefore
you need to educate your family and friends. There are a sizeable
number of us who do not see it that way. If I gave advice as per your
suggestion, I would be given a quizical look and laughed off ! In
short I have not experienced any untoward encounters, like you
obviously have.
