2008/5/22 CORNEL DACOSTA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Hi Luisa
[1] Just curious! How come you are familiar with Goanet and have you
been to Goa?
[2] I would assert strongly that Goa is NOT "a toilet" ...there are
some places where things are not at their best
[3] as is true for any other place anywhere and where there is always
room for improvement.
[4] The call for better sanitation facilities, including toilets in
public places in Goa,... appears to have gone unheeded for decades.

jc's response:

I wonder if Cornel has not crossed a certain 'personal' line here. Why
(I wonder) has he asked Luisa Q[1]? Is it because of her surname? I
have not yet seen him ask that question to anyone else before.

Luisa may wish to consider responding to Cornel or just refer Cornel
to the Human Ribhts Act 1998 art 8.

BTW: Cornel ....what if (say) Girgolina Johnson is actually a
Girgolina de Menezes Johnson? (:-)

I note Cornel's "strong assertion" that Goa is not a toilet.
Photographic evidence however clearly shows that Goa is being used as
a public toilet. And it is not (only) for want of public toilets - Goa
will never be able to provide (indoor) toilet facilities for the sheer
number of migrants who have descended and are likely to descend upon
Goa in the near future to work in the very construction projects which
are decimating Goa. Hence, Goa is doing the next best thing .... Goa
is making itself available as one big outdoor toilet.

It would be interesting to hear from Cornel of the "any other place"
he knows ....which is in the same 'toiletry' position as Goa.
