Hi Cornel,

I have been dipping in and out of Goanet for the past few years and I
subscribed again recently. I guess you are diplomatically asking if I have
legitimate ''Goan'' credentials :-)

I assure you that I do, despite my surname. I am a Goan and as a child I
went to Goa for six months of almost every year as my Mother was homesick
for Goa. This slowed down to every 2 - 3 years when the trips away began to
affect my education. Since young adulthood, I have visited Goa every 2
years, making in total some 20 something trips as an adult and since my late
parents moved back to Goa in 1979.

However back to the subject of sanitation and facilities-provision in Goa.
I think it is a shame that requests to improve these have gone unheeded. I
really dont know what else to suggest. Goa is just such a stunningly
beautiful country, it is a tragedy that more pride is not taken in
maintaining a hygienic environment.

Luisa
