Hello Netizens,
The discussion on the Great Satchmo reminds me of the time when the
Jazz maestro visited my town Moshi in Tanganyika (now Tanzania).
As a little 'toto', my parents wouldn't even countenance a ticket. So
we did the next best thing, stood outside the Hindu Gymkhana where the
performance was held.
I can still faintly hear him trumpeting "Mac the knife...."
