There is NO confusion in the GBA. If a few individuals are confused, the
matter can be resolved simply.
In my hostel room in Bangalore I had a psoter that I inherited from the
previous occupant. It read thus: ASKING QUESTIONS SAVES A LOT OF GUESSWORK! It
is true. Had Oscar asked any of the others in the GBA Core Committee what
actually had happened while he was on a holiday, he would not have half the
things he has said. Even having said what he has, he has reiterated the FACT
that all the members of the GBA are committed to the cause of PRESERVING GOA.
No one can change that and still be a part of the GBA.
I am not the Co-Convener of the GBA. I never was. Like you, I am a diehard
supporter of GOA. I have been enTRUSTed the responsibility of writing the
minutes of the meetings since 09 October, 2007. I have lived up to this Trust
as faithfully as I can, even if the discussion was something that I did not
agree with ...or was critical of me. I have been faithfull. I persistently
asked Oscar, Patricia and Ritu for the minutes of the Task Force meetings that
were going on for six months. They issued what Sorter correctly described as
"bikini" minutes that are not faithfully recorded ...but not before Architect
[Padma Bushan and all] Charles Correa accused Ritu Prasad of "leaking"
information about the non-existence of the Task Force Minutes. It is shameful
to acknowledge Charles as a Goan, Christian [nominally at least], Padma Bushan
awardee and a Moidekar. I have fond memories of that village which the likes of
Charles are out to destroy with an allegedly 30 metre wide Main
District Road MDR]soon ...over the bridge of sighs to Corjuem and onward to
Mayem, with an alleged mini IT Park allegedly violating CRZ regulations right
now on the Aldona side of the bridge allegedly in the land belonging to
Communidade Fraternal de Aldona on the banks of the alleged Mapusa River which
allegedly has no aligators to register the allegations in the Village
Panchayat, GCZMA, Collector- North Goa and Mamlatdar of Bardez.
What is wrong if one says that the Task Force does not have its minutes and
some one tells it another and another tells it to a reporter and it gets
published in a newspaper? Is the TRANSPARENCY of the Task Force "leak proof"?
Does truth "leak"? Did the truth shake up the Architect who allegedly owns a
white bungalow in "Verem Villas" just inches from the River Mandovi at Betim?
Is that the "whited sepulcher" that Jesus spoke about the Pharisees who, like
the Architect, knew the law but violated it?
"Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whited
sepulchers, which appear beautiful outside, but within are full of dead men's
bones and worms." Matthew 23:27 [sepulchure = built up grave]
The Bible is my Guide [I also refer to the Bhagavad Gita for some thoughts
and guidance. It is a parallel of the Gospel according to St. John, recently
translated into colloquial Konkani by my friend and guide, Mr. Suresh Gundu
Amoncar]. The Gospel according to Dr.Luke [after whom "St. Luke's Medical
Guilds" are named all over the world becuase, like Dr. Oscar Rebello, he was a
Physician!] tells us how Jesus sorted out the dissension among his apostles as
to who was the greatest. "He who serves is the greatest. Let the greatest among
you be like the junior." Actually, the word "Minister" means "the one who
serves" ...but see how it has got to their heads! Let each one do what he or
she feels is best: I follow Christ's teaching and am proud to be a Christian. I
serve Goa and am equally proud to be called a Goan ...and I love my India! Sare
jahan se achcha, ye hindoostan hamara!

SUBJECT: CONFUSION IN GBA
Dear Co-Convenor/s,
I am not sure whether I am adressing this letter to Mr.
Minguel and Ms. Sabina as co-convenors because we the
activists are not been informed nor told us the composition
of the GBA and its structure. We are blank completely and we
blindly fighting for the cause of Goans at large and thus
preserving its identity. Now it is the high time to make it
clear and transparent about what is going on within the GBA
