Two positive developments that i will never forget in my life , first opinion poll and a dynamic role in this by Late Dr. Jack De Sequeira , and Goa Statehood where i was a part of this long morchas and strikes with the other goans , Churchill Bab too contributed a lot for Goa Statehood. Some sacrificed their lives for this and i hope all this is not forgotten.
Today should have been a day of great celebration in Goa , Goans must cherish this day a very important day , this call goes out to all those Goenkars world wide , a day to thank the lord for keeping our mother land safe and pray that she always remains safe in the Hands of positive minded Goenkars, we tend to take each and every thing for granted in our lives ,not knowing and realising what disaster could lie ahead of us , to our families and friends, to our enemies and above all to our most loved ones. Our lives have been controlled by hifi technologies,and we have sort of got our routine lives organised in the monotonous ways, we have no time to check on our neighbours our friends and at times our family members ,the hectic atmosphere of survival no matter what it takes is all about it. I just thought of sharing this on the net c'ause i recall the lovely streets , lanes in panjim , fontainhas, miramar , dona paula, , a cup of hot tea at Cafe Bhonsale, Tato, some hot snacks at Cafe central, or Cafe Jesema, even Confetaria italiana i recall walking from Education Department till Miramar beach without any Fear but today things are no longer the same , i do not want to elaborate much on the present happenings in Goa everyone is a witness to the mess being created by , politicians, land sharks , crimes, murders of people and the our mother land Goa, and many such anti social acts . I am confused whether , Goa under the status of Union Territory was better or now as statehood. Bonefacio
