2008/5/30 JOHN MONTEIRO <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: [1] It seems to me all women within the framework of the RC Church are NOT PERMITTED to take up most positions outside cleaning out the pews & aisles & flower arranging in an RC Church.
[2] You may say that someone has to do it, but I say men too can do flower arranging & cleaning jobs, why just women? Perhaps 'those men' with such talents would not be accepted within the Church? But that's another subject, but still ought to be discussed. [3] The Church of England / Protestant (& the Jewish) religion have accepted women as Priests (Rabbis) == jc's response: With due respect, John, I believe that the above in [1] and [2] is a load of rubbish. Any Catholic who attends church regularly in Goa (and surely elsewhere) will tell you that. wrt [3]: I wish not to comment on the Church of England which was founded post 'doing away' with the wife (woman, I assume) who Henry did not like. ...then there were several 'disposable wives'. As far as woman rabbi are concerned ..it's kind of interesting. After all, the word Rabbi in Hebrew ....means 'master'. I would not be surprised if this trend catches fire in California. That state has quite an interesting set of fruits and confused nuts. jc
