Wow, imagine if these newsheadlines were to read:
Agitated by the news of Scarlette Keeling's rape and murder by certain Shannu
Boys of Goa, the British ran amock and pulled up all the Goan Shannu boys
residing in London. They marched them to the nearest Police Station, stripped
them naked and demanded that they be detained until proven innocent of
Scarlette Keelings rape and murder. Since Indians are also known carriers of TB
into Britain it was further suggested that they be summarily segregated from
the rest of society and made to live in special hutments constructed for them
near the River Thames. A fence would be erected around this area, allowing for
them to leave the premises only to attend to their daily jobs, for which the UK
would ensure that they be paid a pittance.
