To Goanet - A compound wall collapsed at dawn today (Sunday) at the Devashri Constructions (owned by Dempo) site in Porvorim crushing at least 5 migrant workers to death and seriously injuring at least another 6. The compound wall far exceeded the permissible height and seemed to be of flimsy build as well.
I have just come back from the construction site with photographs and a lot of questions. Incidentally, I have the entire file of this Devashri project obtained from the TCP dept under the RTI Act. Pictures and more later in the day. Regards, r
