To Goanet - Lionel Messias has articles today in both the Herald and the GT detailing the excesses of our politicos and bureaucrats.
His Herald column deals with the extravagant gastronomic adventures of Chief Secretary J.P. Singh. Expensive dinners at Cidade de Goa and Marriott figure in the catalogue. I was particularly intrigued by the entries for dinners hosted for visiting IAS officers. What were they doing in Goa? Scouting for Goan land to 'farm' a la the ex-IAS Mr Sharma? Our Goan politicos and the bhaile bureaucrats are both in on this kebab & whiskey rounds and wouldn't like their symbiotic bond disturbed. A PIL ought to be filed in the High Court to put a stop on all these dinner parties at our expense. I surmise Lionel Messias already has enough data to make a compelling case. Any one up for it? Some Goanettors would be willing to contribute towards a pool to defray the legal expenses. Regards, r
