The Reserve Bank of India has today 13th June, 2008 posted on its website http://rbi.org.in the Draft -Master Circular on Foreign Investments in India for comments of the general public It takes a re-look at all the Notifications and Circulars issued thus far under the Act governing such investments in India viz (FEMA) Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 as amended from time to time. Moreover acquisition of immovable property in India; is also covered therein. Coming at a time when real estate investment in India especially in our tiny state of Goa has come for stiff scrutiny, investors could examine the same and offer their comments on or before 20th June, 2008 via email or fax.
