Re: Watch this Film Trailer for the last time‏

Thank you for your support.

The pic and the viewing of clip/trailer has now been disabled.

I was very happy to receive your support, some of you even wrote to the
producer directly which I come to know when he replied to them by cc to me.

I did get a response from the producer to my reply to his letter saying that he
read wrongly into my intentions… (see entire reply quoted below)

The film ‘GHUTT’ premiere was for the invitees only.

I did get one from Goanet, I only went there hoping I would see the film
actors like Jessie, Wilson, Kenny, Shrutika, Com. Humbert, Anita etc but the
only actor I saw there was the hero Kevin D’Mello.

I personally congratulated him.

 Kevin also seen here http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ8VFcYn3qw

In the audience too, there were not more than 25 people.

There were some reporters too.
I too attended the show as a reporter for internet media.
Reporters takes photos, video clips etc and they do not ask permission to do so.
I used my mini digital camera to capture some pics and also used the same
camera to capture some short clips to make one trailer as I usually do. It was
not a secret filming as repeatedly claimed by the producer.

The producer is a young chap in his mid 20s I think. At the venue, he did seek
to know about me and when I just mentioned ‘internet’ he figured it out that I
am from the Net – (Goanet).

However, I did carry with me the printed invitation.

Ok, here I have compiled some of the feedback received, those received
privately, their Identities removed.

Not all Goans are that bad as you and I may have thought of.

I thank you once again, particularly those all who wrote to me.

Joe, I am really sorry to know what you had to go through all day. I know you
do it for us, all Goans. I can understand it makes you happy. It is your hobby.
I feel happy too when I see videos & pictures of Goa .

==============================

Its very sad ,that it comes from a person who claims to be from Hindi film
industry. People will be willing to pay for promoting their film. This guy does
not know what he is talking.I had instances where some of the producers
(atleast two) who asked me how much I will charge to put up their film promo
on……... Anyway we should just avoid them and boycott their films. These guys
are just out to make money and that is all that matters to them, not promotion
of Konkani or our Goan culture. Lets promote those who promote our culture and
heritage.

Regards

Hi Joe !

I would not loose sleep over this guy - I am not too sure that
[EMAIL PROTECTED] is aware of the wonderful
Community work - Joe is doing. Because of Joe - he might have
sold more CD s - but as ,,,, said in his post. Just forget him
and * blacklist* him.

We have similar instances going on all the time , if some one objects
to their Video s being given a pointer on your site - then just delete
and apologise - there are thousand of other Goans who will send in their
Video s - the next FAMOUS GOAN SINGERS/ACTORS.

Joe - you have my support , I will stand with you.

VIVA GOA ! VIVA JoEGoAUk !

I was checking the net today...and I saw that there was already a teaser
trailer uploaded on Youtube much before yours in 2007. I think there was an add
put by Capucina in gulf-goans forum about this movie. However if Ashford was a
true Goan and was doing this for his love for konkani, he could have politely
told you in a nice way appreciating your work, if he really didnt have that
crab mentality he talks about...his mail goes to show that he is of the same
type...probably he thinks he is not so famous as you even after producing a
film, he should have given you the link where he uploaded the trailer....I just
went over his video...and it clearly showed he was having some problems in
loading initially...and i think he is just a kid or maybe its wrong age he put
there(23)..maka dista bhurge moticher assa tho.

If you write to him again, pls mention that this trailers/clips/photos are
done and the links posted on various forums subscribed by thousands of NRI
Goans (give him the stats goanet over 10,000/ + yours 1000) come to know...in
this way they can buy the CD's DVDS, whenever they visit India/Goa...and this
will boost the sales of their films.

I dont know if Ashord is on your list or on goanet.

Well only last week we were talking about this....and you were so Happy that
Kenny appreciated your work...am sure if late C.Alvares was alive he too would
appreicate your work....that said and done....this should in no way discourage
you from the work you are presently doing....Keep up the good work....these
things will come in the way somtimes...its time to move ahead....

I know all this professional tiatrist are doing this only as business...even
Prince Jacob..

Hi Joe,

Sometimes the VCD Producers & the Tiatr writer/directors react strangely.

For me you are doing a good job by loading the clips & promoting the
Tiatr/VCD's. As a tiatr/Vcd lover I always watch the clips you load & then go
for the tiatr /purchase the VCD. I think like me many Goans do the same. The
promotion helps the VCD Producers & the Tiatr writer/directors to make more
money, which they don't understand.

I request VCD Producers & the Tiatr writer/directors to allow Joe to load the
clips on the internet for their benefits cause Joe in not making any money.

By watching the clip of "Ghutt" film many film lovers will buy the vcd cause
the first vcd produced by C.Alvares films was of very poor quality.

Regards,

Frankie

Hi Joe,

We love to watch the Konkani tiatr/VCD's you load, thanks dear for all your
efforts.

Its really a pity that the VCD Producers & the Tiatr writer/directors

fail to realize that you are in a big way promoting their tiatr /VCD's.

We being abroad, miles and miles away from Goa long to watch the Konkani tiatr
/ VCD's. Oh! how much we appreciate your efforts.

It is only after watching the clippings you have loaded we make it a point to
get these VCD's across to us by all means.

Once again, thanks a lot for your efforts.

God Bless You!

 Regards,

Dear Joe

I do not find any thing wrong in your work you are doing, infact its hellping
the producers to get more sales of their VCD;s. People in Gulf like us come to
know through your mails and I ask some of friends or relatives i Goa to send
me the VCD , so that I can watch over here.

Instead of writing this mail to you he should think first or at all if he can
do something than why not stop piracy ?

KEEP UP YOUR GOOD WORK JOE WE LIKE IT

 Thanks ,

Bonny.

Hi Joe,

Really happy to receive your email, I guess I have read wrongly into your
intentions, for what I have seen, but your explanations seems truthful and I
take it at that.

However I’d still request you to take that clip off, for reasons; it is
infringement and second it might just prompt others into doing the same for
different reasons altogether. I can send you a 10 minute clip from my end which
you can upload; it has the title track, snippets from the artist, small scenes
and making of the movie. I wanted to write to you earlier, however I was
advised not to, for the movie could have been leaked online. However when I saw
the VCD cover with the email Id, it was crossing the line, you can do the same,
but you can add you email below the cover stating it was uploaded by you.

I want congratulate you on the effort you have put into collecting all your
material it’s really commendable. My apology, for being harsh but I was really
disturbed with whatever was happening, to add on to that I learnt that copies
were being made in some parts of Goa . You have seen the film and know that
it’s professionally made, we have spent a lot, to make this movie and when
something made with a lot of hard work and effort is not appreciated, it hurts.
We are facing huge losses because of the same, and probably that’s the reason I
may have vented out, but let me assure that I am taking all you said and
content with the same.

I have an offer to make to you, would want to distribute Ghutt in UK, since you
are based there, Infact, there is a program coming up in July by the Swindon
Goan Assoc. where about 2000 people are expected to be there. We can also do
something in the future.

Take care.
