I wish I were a Freedom Fighter too

By now, me and my wife would have been living a quite life somewhere in the
remote north Goa. With the money we get from the Govt. about Rs.15,000 per
month, we could easily enjoy last remaining part of our lives together. What
else we needed? Besides the monthly cash pension or dole we would also get
other State’s benefits like free travel, various reservation benefits for FF
and their wards etc etc,
As if this money were not enough, I would have also make my wife to siphon
another Rs.1000 per month from the Govt coffers under the scheme DSS.

Not all are lucky enough. Recently, one Freedom Fighter’s wife Ms Hirabai
Nagvemkar of Moira got her DSS Rs.1000 stopped as some one complaint that her
husband FF Mr. Shamsunder receives a monthly pension about Rs.15,000.

Some one told me that it is still not too late to register as FF provided
right amount paid to the right person. I am working on it now.

I was wondering as to how many FFs are surviving even now? 50, 100 or more?
I was confused when I read Goa Govt. has arranged two buses to ferry FFs from
Mapusa-Panjim-Aguada-Porvorim-Mapusa (no FFs in the South?) on the occasion of
Goa Revolution Day (18th June).

Before I go, I would like to Salute the Genuine FFs living or dead.
