2008/6/18 Eugene Correia <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: 1: Maybe, JC you meant Furtado was your neighbour. These are many of my errors.
2: As a medical doctor, maybe JC has time to check what he writes. 3: My errors won't kill anyone. 4: But doc, if you err in prescribing wrong medicines and if your patient dies you could be charged for murder. 5: As for Dr. Telo's, I have read about the charges against him. Were they trumphed up charges? I think this subject would be more apt for the goa research forum where there could be some answers to questions raised by JC and also if what I have said is historically true. == jc's response: re #1: There goes amcho Eugene once more. Let me state for the record. JC never ever stated nor implied anywhere that any "Furtado" was my neighbour. It shows how little Eugene knows about the families of Goa esp Salcete. re#2: Not only does any professional "make the time" to check before he acts, he has a legal "duty of care" to do so. re#3: Don't be so sure. Erroneous stories have led to revenge killings. More than that Lies and Mis-representations cause people to lose reputations and other 'loss". I invite you to read further on those topics. re#4: You are absolutely wrong in that regard. No sensible prosecution service can expect to win a "murder" case against a person who does something in "err" (error). Except in a lawless place, the first thing the court will ask the prosecutor to provide is evidence of a 'mens rea'. A doctor who makes an error could not possibly have a Mens Rea. re#5: the charge of bigamy is either true or false. It cannot be "trumped up". Those among us who are planning to have a second marriage without properly dissolving (in court) the first, please be advised. Do not rely on Eugene's 'trumped up' defense. (only applicable in non- Talaq3 countries). jc
