STT: Bombay Culling?

Something to think (STT).

O God, how can you watch from heaven your own children getting killed by Bombay
suburban trains?

What about the so called religious leaders, can’t they do something at least in
the name of their Gods?

Is India really shining?

Is India a developing country, if so how? By culling its own people to curb
population?

12 reported deaths per day on Bombay tracks (there could be equal number of
deaths which go unreported).

Today 12, tomorrow 25 then what 100 per day? And then we continue saying ‘ye
hai Bombay, yaham aisa hota hai’?

Is Bombay using the same old brains which was left to them by the Britishers?

Bombay or India has got no brain of its own yet?

What about the Metro?

What about the Skybus?

Is it ever going to happen? When? Or what took them so long?

Just 2 days ago, a 27 years old Kingfisher Executive was traveling by a train
on a footboard (like many others in crowded trains). She lost her balance and
falls to death.

The other ladies saw her falling but none bother to pull the chain. Her other
friend and room mate who was inside the same compartment got down at the next
station and reported the incidence to the Rly police and rushed her to Bhagwati
hospital where she declared dead. The incidence took place between Malad and
Goregao Stations.

Police says ‘wearing high hills and a clutching a heavy laptop have cost her
life’
                                      (News report TOIgoa June 18)

No doubts, most deaths are due to victim’s negligence but there must be some
health & safety measures in place to prevent such deaths. One cannot simply
ignore such things saying ‘This is Bombay’.

We are talking about human beings here not something like damage to public
property etc.
