Hi Floriano, Need your help. Could you kindly put this out on the Web where your Goa.net and other Net readers interact as a message sent to O'Heraldo. That is if you agree with the contents. I have sent this to O'Heraldo but I am not sure if they will publish though I will use my ways to get them to print it. But then if you put it up on the Net it will help the 'cause'. Let me know what you think. With best rgds Yours sincerely S Kamat AG 2, Sabnis Palace Alto Betim, Bardez Goa 403 521. Date: Thu, 19 Jun 2008 16:19:42 +0530 Dear Sir, Your Tomcat column last Sunday (15th June 2008) left a bad taste in the mouth in so far as the punning on the GPA and the GBA acronyms was concerned and in relation to the innuendos that tended to be drawn therein. There is fine line between banter and mockery which one needs to recognise and you seem to have crossed that line. Moreover being a responsible paper and representing a large part of the Goan community you should have looked at the issue which was relevant and not who was behind it and what names they call themselves. Famously, Shakespeare had said that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. In relation to the aspersions cast, you fail to realize that it is a double-edged sword and it works against you also since from the content of your column you lay yourself open to the charge that you are ganging up with the builders and construction mafia out to denude and rape Goa in contrast to supporting a GPA or a GBA or a XYZ. Remember balance of coverage looking at the issues involved is an important part of being a good paper which at least you should at least aspire to become. Thanking you Yours truly S Kamat AG 2, Sabnis Palace Alto Betim, Bardez Goa 403 521. Ph: 91 832 2416430 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
