guys are polite to the ghantis specially for the crap they write?
Regarding pre 61 story that Goans were emaciated and had to go to Bombaim is
crap. Clearly there was inequality pre 61, but today a growing number of Goans
are faced with this situation because of a continually failing post 61 regime.
Look at the villagers in the Novas Conquistas fighting back against the cartels
and are now branded as Naxals. Their basic survival livelihoods are at
stake. Besides Goans were always travellers (Catholics), in the past it may
have Bombaim, then the Gulf and now Portugal to Swindon.
Incidentally I have a pre 61 Economic Journal which was published in 4
languages viz Portuguese, Concani, Morati and English clearly stating the
commercial activity in those times. I wonder if our ignorants from North
America know about this publication.
