Every day a new scandal breaks out involving the
Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP). The Mayor,
Dy Mayor, the corporators - all are involved. I get
anonymous SMS messages every other day enumerating
illegalities around town.
The well-heeled among Panjimites are not to be bothered.
After all, there's that important Jaycee or Rotary Club
dinner to attend. But the chickens will soon come home
to roost and they won't be in the form of a plate of Xacuti.
The ghati vote bank in Panjim and surrounds is
being cultivated with such diligence by some within the
CCP as well as by the Taleigao MLA that by the time
the sleeping beauties wake up, the crap will be all
over their shirts (and not just literally).
