To Goanet -
Several gram sabhas have witnessed uprisings
against housing projects in the past several weeks
and months. There was a big scene at Colva
yesterday.
However, I fear that these projects, fraudulently
approved in the first place, will eventually be allowed
to stand by clever claims and riders that any future
projects will not be allowed etc. Every mega project
currently ongoing or already up in our villages should
be subjected to a demolition order. Otherwise all
these struggles and campaigns to save Goa are
MEANINGLESS.
When was the last time a project already up was
actually powderized before the issue of occupancy
certificates. Is there a precedent for this in Goa?
