Watch Out for Politicians and Their PIMPS Who Are Trying to Divide GOA

I have been a new comer to the goanet and I am really impressed by the views of
some of the writers and one of them is Nilkanth Naik. I do appreciate the
message that you are giving out. It is important that peace and unity be
maintained at all cost, I am sure this will not make sense to almost all the
politicians.

Right from my school day I had one question always nibbling my brain and one day
I dared to ask my history teacher, the result was punishment and just border
marks in history for the rest year, even though I was more then average student.
Later I found out that he was a freedom fighter of Goa. Even today the question
still torments me. Before I continue I would like to make a statement, I mean no
disrespect to any of our freedom fighters who fought for the freedom of India, I
know that it is through their sacrifices and dedication that we are a free India
today and enjoying the freedom that many of them did not live to see. I do
salute them.

Coming to the question, I just hope I am not disturbing a hornet's nest, we all
know the dimensions of the sacrifices made by The Mahatma, Pandit Nehru and
Mohd. Jinnah, my one question is, couldn't Pandit Nehru and Mohd. Jinnah make
one more sacrifice, even after The Mahatma implored with them, to keep aside
their egos and dreams of becoming the first PM of free India and that one of
them should have to sacrifice that dream for the unity of the nation, the
answerers were, what will the Hindus think if a Muslim became the PM and the
other's said that Muslims would be insecure with a Hindu PM, the result is there
for us to see, Pakistan, Bangladesh and India and a couple of wars.

What do we have now ? India has a Muslim population which is more then the
population of Pakistan and a large number of Hindus living in Pakistan. I always
wondered what India would be like, if not divided, be it culture, be it
defense, be it sports or anything else ? This will always remain an
unanswered question.

Now coming back to our present scenario, even after 6 decades of independence
the minority community still feels insecure and the majority community still
does not trust the other and who are the beneficiaries of this unease, the
politicians and at no cost will they let this situation improve, because in the
end it's the votes, they want, at any cost.

Like Nilkant, I wish the couple of dogs barking in parliament (the old man and
his lady in arms) and the saffron brigade led by the so called lion and their
"chamchas" in Goa, instigating and misleading the people, would think
otherwise, and follow the live and let live policy, for the sake of the unity of
the nation, I think India would be what the freedom fighters wanted it to be
and their sacrifices wouldn't be in vain.

Coming to Goa, ever since the advent of the saffron brigade and the RSS and the
ever increasing migration of the minority community from Belgaum and Hubli into
Goa (thanks to the former and present Margao MLA's and a former Navelim MLA) has
made things go from bad to worse and who are taking advantage of this situation
? The 40 thieves and their "chamchas" . It is up to each one of us to educate
our communities of this danger and not let others take advantage of us. Like
Nilkant I hope a lot of others Goan brothers and sisters from other communities
come to the fore and condemn violence and warn the people of the dangers of
getting carried away by the sweet talks of the bloody politicians and their
pimps. To Goa with Love
