Samir--

Contrary to what you say, my personal experience in Bangalooru has been otherwise. I have seen feces on pavements and floating through open sewers by the sidewalks. A pretty disgusting sight!

Chris

Subject: [Goanet] Lessons for Goa

The Old Goa circle makes for a squalid picture. At
certain times during the day, there are so many ghatis
loitering around, spitting and urinating, that you
think you are in Karnataka.

Karnataka is a much cleaner state than Goa. In Bangalore especially,
no one throws garbage outside their houses as many Goans do.

Early morning, people wash the area outside of the house, and clean it up.
The Hindus would usually make some rangoli or some such thing.

The municipality garbage collector visits us every morning and we give
the garbage to him/her.

Karnataka is also very focussed in high-tech area such as IT , while in Goa the in thing is tourism and prostitution.
