Toronto is the unofficial Goan capital of North America. Within the greater Toronto area lies Mississauga where the Goan convention will be held July 23-27. On any given day in Mississauga, the welcoming smell of xacuti, cafreal, sambharachi koddi, Goan Fish Curry, potato chops fills the air, leading one's nose to many a Goan kitchen.
Almost everyone has a Goan friend or relative in Toronto. The Convention offers the opportunity to visit, sight-see and also network and share common Goan experiences. There is much to see in and around Toronto (CN tower, Niagara Falls, etc.).
