Dear Goanet,

I am an avid reader of Goanet since the time i got an accidental mail from one
of my friends may be for the last three months. Upon checking out the journals
as they came by, much of what i read did make great sense. Even though i never
mailed back or commented upon on any of the issues prevailing on our dear Goa,
I better said let me also join in this news dispensation. Mind you, i have read
accounts on news stories which are more true than the one u read in the press.
Thats one KUDOS to Goanet. And frankly i look for updates on news from Goa on
goanet. Atleast the pictures on Goanet has got people thinking of whats really
happening back home.

Being away from our Mai Goa, it does pain us to see whats really happening back
home. Goa, going, being sold, being invaded from all sorts of nuisances from
all over India in the form of labour and settlement. Its high time that we kick
ourselves hard enough to save our Goa from being denuded, degraded and being
sold for a penny by the greedy political class who are all the same.

I really appreciate people like Rajan Parrikkar, Aires Rodrigues, Florian Lobo
and all the others who are making the right moves in all directions. Atleast we
have some people going for us, to protect our goan image, or whatever left of
it before its totally devoured up by this ghanntis, bhailles n the posh
migrants too. And we are happy that day by day we have new groups like GGRM,
GAKUVED, GPA, SVM, GMAS or whatever form or denomination they are. We all need
to channelise those resources to one combine front rather than making all noise
and clatter. The good thing is that in all the din, atleast we have got a
feeling and a awakening, that alas, Goa is finally waking up from its deep
slumber. Yes, we neeed to keep the momentum going. And also we have to remember
that we will also have rogues in the form of Save Goa Front, who all
dissapeared at the sight of moolah. Better not to have them to speak on behalf
of Goa.

Its easy for us, overseas here, to comment on, but please note that wherever we
are (Goans) for whatever reasons, we always have our love and admiration for
our Mai Goa, for amchi konkani bhas, for our mog ani moipas life style  with
our hindu and christian brethren which is our true hallmark. These is slowly
being eroded by this new entrants to Goa who are prominently Muslims. Our
vaddes and bhats are being named as Ramnagari, Islampur, Kargil Nagar, Fakri
bandh etc. Whats happening now a days in Goa, is not Hindu retaliation ala
India stlye against Islam, but that we Hindus and Christians are slowly
becoming targets of these encroachers of Goan sentiments. These invasion of goa,
by outsiders both the poor and the rich, have to be brought to a stop or to a
sustainable level. We cannot let our fields become slums for the vote banks of
our useless politicans who only look for making money while the sun shines.

Its time we save our Goa from total decimation. Our moral support is always
assured. Keep up the flame burning of saving Goa or whatever that is left of
it. We are with all you groups. Politicians might villify you as Naxalites and
other foreign names. They can accept donations from all and sundry and still
splash the muck on honest people working for the welfare of Goa.
