I was expecting a barrage of abuse on this email but all I got was one personal
mail (cced to Mario) from an RSS stalwart, who told me how Goan Catholics are
responsible for Goa's ills. Precisely because of this sort of reasoning I urge
Goan Catholics to leave now. For better or worse, my generation will be buried
in the same cemeteries where generations of our forebearers lie. The only thing
to be decided is how we will die, whether on Goa's treacherous roads, on
account of its lardy diet or falling on a sword?
But at least let our children and future generations be safe. Especially those
Goans in the Gulf, please do your best to work hard, save as much money as
possible and send your children to Canada or New Zealand. Don't even think for
one minute of returning to India.
