I am glad if Daman and Diu loks as good as is claimed by the Tourism Dept. video. The last time I visited Daman (called Damao during the Portuguese rule) quite some years ago after the "liberation" our party were delighted to observe the blackish sand which was unusal because we were conditioned to accept white beaches only--but the black sand looked good just as black pearls look good! As we got closer and began to walk on the sand--big surprise! We had to watch very carefully where we stepped because "it" seemed to be all over. Finally, it became really unbearable--there was so much of it, we had to beat a hasty retreat. Are those fellows (and felines) we see in JoaGoaUKs beach videos and photographs Damanese migrants doing their "thing" by any chance, I wonder?
