In top group Veteran chess player Anand Patekar (3.5) although drew his third round game with Omkar damle(2.5) but won the championship. Gouri Hadkonkar & Alfredo Menezes both on 3 points but stood 2nd and 3rd on progressive. In Middle Group Sahil Chopdekar (4) won all four games. Pranav Shirodker, Nikhil Kolvalkar, Stanford Pereira & Girish Kulkarni were on 3 points but stood 2nd to 5th on progressive. In beginners group Shwetang Ghanekar was champion winning all four games. Denver Estrocio & Tasha Fernandes with 3 points stood joint 2nd. On this Grand Mothers Day Grandma Nancy Goes Rodrigues encouraged children with sweets and flowers. Head of Technical division of Doordarshan Panaji was the Chief Guest. Shravan Barve was the Arbiter. Next tournament will be held on third week of August.
