Thank you for this and thank you for your written comments on the 'comments'
register.
However, I must point out that Goa Su-Raj Party was not in the picture for
this event mainly because any involvement of hard-core politics ( hard core=
electoral ) is hated by the industrious citizens of Goa because they have
been bitten most too often and as it is said 'Once bitten twice shy" these
industrious citizens want to keep their distance from politics and
politicians. Mind you, if even a hint was given out that the Citizens'
event had anything to do with Goa Su-Raj, there would be hardly ten persons
attending. So much for politics.
But one cannot dissociate Floriano's face or his name from Goa Su-Raj,
because he is it. I was in Siridao a few hours ago and when I spoke at the
spontaneouly held public meeting near the Church Square, I was announced as
Goa Su-Raj. But I guess people have now begun to make a differentiation
between Cong, BJP, NCP et al and Goa Su-Raj. It has by now filtered into
the consciousness of the people of Goa that Goa Su-Raj is the practicing
and effective Environmental group (I hate to call it NGO) requalified itself
into hard core electoral politics so that one day all NGOs in Goa will have
to look through magnifying glasses to locate some issue somewhere to take
on, to survive. :-))

It was the first time that I attended such a meeting in Goa. What I liked
the
most, was that there were so many young faces in the audience. Goa cannot
fail
if our children show so much interest in the democratic process.
The speakers pro and against, spoke with a lot of passion. It is important
that there was a voice raised to protest the decision making, done without
a
proper screening and overseeing protocol.
