GOA STUCK IN VICIOUS CYCLE OF CORRUPTION.
Oh Dears,
Having known Jose Maria Miranda for a long time, I have always considered
him a friend. And we appreciate each ones' writings and often compliment
each other. Today was one such day when I called 'Juzmarie' ( as I lovingly
call him ) and after a while of good intentioned exchanges when this
followed:
"Juzmarie", I said "I have just gone through your 'star letter' and I find
that you have missed out on the most important entity when you have
mentioned donations to Clubs and Associations" I said.
Juzmarie's response was by way of a huge laughter saying "Tum tench gheun
bosla mhure"
"Yes, naturally" I said. "And why not?" "I am confident that one day you
will pick up your courage and say it openly without fear or favour"
"Afterall, Jesus Christ exposed the hypocrites, didn't He?"
I was talking about the huge donations the Church is receiving come election
time. And Juzmarie knew why I was calling.
"Juzmarie" I said, if at all Goa's politics is ridden with chors, left
right and centre, it is because the Church in Goa has underwritten their
evil deeds" . "One day you will surely pick up your courage and expose
your own Church"
And it is a fact that most parish priest get bagful of currency notes here,
a bagful of mobile phones there (or both). Some churches are favoured
through government tenders for repairs of their premises through Infotech
Corporations, which incidentally has nothing to do with any repairs of
anything. And when conscientious people object to such open connivance
between the men in white and the rotten politicians, the men in white
suffer from heart problems.
And incidentally, the family members of connected men in white get brand
new cars as election time gifts, I am told, for ensuring prefered
politician's victories. That is how rotten our catholic religion has
become. Thank God it is not 'Christian'. If it was, it would be a SHAME to
IT's FOUNDER.
And the best part is that the CHORs who have looted Goa to no extent have
been officially blessed at the Raj Bhavans by heads of Goa's Church.
"Juzmarie" I said in closing "I shall always shout from the roof tops about
my OWN CONNIVING CHURCH with rotten politicians, helping them to bleed Goa
and to see its demise soone than later". "And", I said "I want to see who
is stopping me from doing that"
