My dear Goanetters,

With reference to the e-mails below, many of you have misunderstood my e-mail,
and hence, I wish to state, that I am not at all happy, in fact, I am very sad
to read on Goanet, that Goans have become so poor, that they are forced to sell
their ancestral property to Celina etc.

(1)We can all sit and debate the above issue, but unless we all do something
about this sad situation, it will remain just that "a sad situation", where our
goan men and women will continue to do all the menial jobs in the homes and
offices of non-goans.

The YWCA,Mumbai, in their effort to empower women, offers many courses to
young women from all over India, with hostel facilities also. If any of you
know of young goan women, who do not have the finances, are NOT tenth std
passed but would like to become financially independent, please do send an
e-mail to:[EMAIL PROTECTED] / website : http://www.ywcabombay.com
or, write to: YWCA - Achamma Bhavan Hostel, Institute of Nutrition and Baking,
Vocational Training Institute,75, Motlibai street, near Nair hospital, Mumbai
-400 008.ph. no: 022-23096544//23020469/23096555

The YWCA, will try to find a sponsor for any underprivileged young goan women,
that any of you recommend, or, one of the so-called rich Goans on this website
can sponsor the poor goan girls who cannot find a sponsor. I am based in
Mumbai and hence, you are welcome to contact me for help.

(2)
The government of Maharashtra has a special dptmt that gives loans to
christians, for business, education, etc., at very low interest rates. You
will all be sad to know, that christians are not availing of this scheme. If
any of you want this information, please send me an e-mail, or, I will get it
and display it on this website.
I do know that the govtmt of goa too, has similar schemes for goans.PLEASE GET
THIS INFORMATION AND POST ON THIS WEBSITE.

(3)All Goans can buy, with proof and legal help, land in the village of their
ancestors, at very cheap rates, from the village panchayat in goa.

(4) My father loved spending his week-end holidays, personally cleaning and
servicing his cars and bikes and whenever a beggar approached him, he would ask
them "why are you poor? God gave you hands and legs, come, I will teach you to
earn money", He would then proceed, to teach them about maintenance of bikes
and cars, give them a meal and tell them to come back the next week-end.

I always laughed at his silly question to beggars, "why are you poor?", but
now,not only do I miss him a lot, but I also realize that he was right.

If any of you come across a poor family, teach them in your own home, with your
god-given talents and knowledge.
