Interesting definitions FN. Doubt whether these were known in the Kenya of the 50s when Mau Mau was associated with the subversive movement, oath taking etc which started initially among the Kikuyu tribe and later spread. BTW a Mau Mau Film Festival has just been on in Nairobi from 6th-10th August.
