hi miguel,

i noticed the sarcasm - at 10 metres, well 500-700 shots in limited time,
believe me is NO MEAN ACHIEVEMENT, it shows commitment, dedication and passion,

i've not been well for the past few days, and so i've been watching the dd
sports coverage the entire day, so far the indians that i have seen going to
the next round had a lot of aggression and passion to go ahead, they wanted to
make their mark...

i watched our two boxers jitendra kumar & win their round comfortably, i saw
our 16 year (young) swimmer - khade - beat his personal best timing, clocking
50.07, but still he did better than his best (he's a good prospect), and sania
in badminton is fighting her way, and yet it is sad that as u rightly say - in
a nation of 1.1 billion+ people, that's the best we can do.. i think it is more
about the dedication to training before the event. countries like the usa,
china, australia, practice ever day of every year leading up to the olympics. i
felt rathore seemed casual in his approach, the silver must have gone to his
head??
in fact even our archers like dola banerjee and pranitha seemed to buckle under
pressure and were all smiles (shamefully) in their losses..

our 'rowers' who came last in the qualifying, managed to improve and came in
5th..

but do watch and you'll see all our ((few) indians who arew managing to advance
- our determined and not just there for a picnic, the rest, well = no comment
