Frankie oheraldo.in PANJIM, AUG 17 — Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godinho recently visited panchayats of Quelossim, Cortalim, Cansaulim and Velsao to review developmental works and to address people’s grievances. Speaking during his visits to the panchayats, Godinho said that the people of his constituency are like his family members and therefore he has a special feeling for the poor and the needy. “I have always stood by the people and will continue to stand by them”, said Godinho while urging the villagers to keep the bond of family relationship.The Deputy Speaker further said that he believes in the saying “Do good to others if you want them to do good to you”. “In a family there are bound to be differences but let us understand each other and get our problems sorted and work together for the upliftment of the poor and the development of our Village”, he added. Speaking on the occasion Sarpanch of Quelossim-Cortalim Caetano Xavier said Godinho is a leader who treats them all as his family members while Blanche Baros Pereira, Sarpanch of Cansaulim said that their MLA and is a man of dedication, who keeps his word. Sarpanch of Velsao Aruna Rodrigues also spoke.The Panchayat members of Cortalim, Quelossim, Cansaulim, Arrossim, Quelim and Velsao Pale were present on the occasion.
