I can remember when we emigrated from Goa to go to Kenya in 1958 to join my father. I traveled on my mum's Portuguese passport. I was a minor, we did not have an Indian passport. So hence we must have been Portuguese citizens. I wonder what passport did the Indians have during the British Raj when the wanted to travel to Britain to study or whatever. My Father was very reluctant to surrender his Portuguese passport after India invaded (or should I say liberated) Goa in 1961,but eventually he was coerced to part with it.
