At last one MLA has raised a relevant issue: funding of primary schools in
English medium on par with Marathi and Konkani so that village students can
afford good education that is now only the privilege of the rich and the middle
class in Goa.
Some details can be seen in the Herald report on page 2 under the headline "One
need not be an expert in the field to be minister:Parrikar" in the second
paragraph below the photo of Manohar Parrikar.
The issue was raised by the ruling party MLA, Shri Agnelo Fernandes of
Calangute and found support in the Assembly from Damodar Naik ,Fatorda MLA and
BJP's official spokesman. The same was shown live yesterday on Prudent TV.
