What it has got is a cold, commercially oriented machine, without heart or soul. .. I am coming round to the belief that the airport was conceived and executed by small minds, who either lacked the vision...or just decided that the interests of their shareholders would be best served by getting away with the narrowest definition of contractual responsibilities. and cutting every corner in sight. > My own theory is that Bangalore airport users did not or could not take sufficient interest in the planning and design of the airport. In the end the city is only getting what it deserves due to neglect. Can Goa avoid this fate at Mopa? The risk is there as long as we keep talking about Mopa vs Dabolim. When we start saying Dabolim AND Mopa there may be some hope. Let's >wait and see.
Hi Philip I think this report is unnecessarily biased against the Bangalore airport. Having travelled via the new Bangalore airport a number of times, I feel it is a good job done. Yeah, I havent travelled international but the domestic side is pretty good and gives you a much better experience than Mumbai or Delhi airports. The real problem is the commute from the city. But I believe that can't be held against the airport. Today, there is news that a six lane elevated highway is going to be built soon from Hebbal to the airport. Last time I travelled domestic, there was free Internet available also in the departure lounge. Some people want to put things down whatever one does. I didnt see much content in the report except things like comfort of sitting chairs. I didnt see this problem on the domestic side. regards, Samir
