Last night, the Indian media did it again. At 8.30pm, during the coverage of the Delhi blasts, we were treated to some "Breaking news", with all channels claiming a child was found with a live bomb. The boy was just 12, and to see the way the reporters were almost on top of him, trying to get his visual was disgusting.
Then they got even lower. All of the channels managed to get hold of the boy for "exclusive interviews." ToI is one source however, that did not publish the boy's name or his photograph. The other's mostly succumbed. God help the 12 year old if the terrorists, who are at large, get their hands on him, having now seen his face on all channels. And then, respected Indian frontline journalist, Bharka Dutt's live "exclusive" with a hapless little chap found on the roadside would have been hilarious if it were not for the grave story: http://dabblinginmultimedia.blogspot.com Long live Indian media. gasper -- You don't get to choose how you're going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now. - Joan Baez
