I am  VERY briefly quoting Karan Thapar article  in Hindustan Times 31 Aug08
because he is a respected famous  personality,Hindu,  on this topic more
credible than me ; and I cant say it better ! Also because it must be said and
emphasized when the militant sections of the Sang Parivar are  hell bent on
destroying the secular fabric of India. Quote "They call themselves the Vishwa
Hindu Parishad, but who says they represent all Hindus?Let me start with the
question of conversion. Why do the VHP and its unruly storm troopers the
Bajrang Dal froth at the mouth if you,I or our neighbours convert?Let me put it
bluntly, even crudely. If I want to sell my soul, and trade my present Gods for a
new lot, why shouldn't I? Even if the act diminishes me in your eyes, its my
right to do so. So if  even millions of Dalits choose to become Christian or
Buddhists or Muslim because some lured them with food and cash, its their
right.Apart from utter and contemptible
criminality of such behaviour, is this how we Hindus wish to behave?I believe
the time has come for the silent majority of Hindus to speak out." Unquote.
The same applies to Muslim , and Christian organisations and those who, by such
acts, do not defend, but shame their faith! Indulging in  similar/forceful
re-conversions,bringing so called Freedom of Religion Acts which aim to undo
freedom, and feeling free to  indulge in cowardly acts on defenseless and
peaceful people  and their places of worship is a sure recipe to more terrorism
and violence from those who are denied protection from the Law and have lost
their loved ones. They have the right to self defense and  justice, and the
land of Mahatma Gandhi will  surely burn  if the silent majority cannot reign
in these intolerant organisations, and governments protecting them.
