I just wanted to say a small thank you to Goanetters who helped me with my
research on Goan tarvottis. The outpouring of love and interest in this subject
has been overwhelming. Clifford Pereira, who is a British-Goan Historical
Geographer, and who has done a lot of research on Goa's maritime museum, tells
me that the idea of creating a museum has been fermenting for some time now.
Perhaps this is an idea whose time has come. We have such a rich maritime
history and we must pay homage to it by creating a museum to honour it.
