Office of the Commissioner - Labour & Employment has introduced the Goa Employment (Conditions of Service) and Retirement Benefit Act, 2001 wherein Smart cards are provided to all the employed individuals in different industries, hotels, government departments, shops, commercial establishments spread all over Goa. This activity is looked after by M/s. Smart Chip Limited who are associated with GEL for this project. M/s. Smart Chip Limited has deployed the entire staff for this project and GEL acts a catalyst in the implementation of this project. M/s. Smart Chip Limited maintains all the Information in respect of the workforce employed in the state and which are provided social security cards on behalf of Office of the Commissioner - Labour & Employment.
