As the music enchants us on 2nd October 2008 at the Crowne Plaza in a
fragrance of Roses, it will also be a time to evoke how best we can love our
dear ones unconditionally. The event is only an excuse to tap and drive out
our blocks and awaken us to embrace unconditional love.

.. And if we succeed to touch just one life, that’s an achievement!...

:::BLACKSLADE to Bring down the House:::

Blackslade, the band made up entirely of Goans, but based in New Delhi
happens to be one of the best bands in India. Blackslade aren’t your regular
musicians who come on stage, stick to their cozy spots and belt out number
after number. Rather, their electrifying shows charged with tons of energy
will wake up the sleepiest of souls...

The band has completed 15 years in music and performed around 1,300 shows
and still going strong. They clearly seem to be the crowd favorites wherever
they perform probably because of their varied styles and great showmanship.

Anton, the manager of the band says their aim “is to make Goan music known
everywhere and make Goa proud.”

What do you get if you get India's best drummer, the most talented guitarist
a bass guitarist like none in the country, an equally impressive guy on the
keyboards and a vocalist who is as young at heart as he is talented at the
task ..... ??? Makes for a lethal combination, doesn't it?

Watch the Blackslade bring down the house (Crowne Plaza) at the Nite O’Roses
- 2nd October 2008 starting 8 pm.

:::Shahu to perform on Sax with 2..S#arp:::

Goan pop music has undergone a metamorphosis ever since its inception during
the Portuguese era. Today, Western music has become engrained into the
fabric of Goan culture. This ‘foreign’ assault has resulted in the birth of
a new creation of ultra-modern, dance-friendly 'remixes' with the Gen-X
hypnotized to its beats.

Contrary to the fast-paced music, Kuwait’s ace musician Shahu (Francis)
Almeida will provide some symphonic tracks at the NITE O’ROSES on 2nd
October 2008 at Crowne Plaza, taking on the saxophone - an instrument almost
forgotten by modern musicians.

Shahu will perform with his band 2..S#arp.
