[Voile khanniea vellem pann socoile khanieavellea pannak hanstali....] For those not familiar with GMC or have never been to GMC, the security guards are (in theory, at least) supposed to control parking, prevent theft of hospital ware, and prevent inward ingress from unwanted animals, two or four legged. That, as Edward says, they are sleeping with feral dogs when on duty shows that the GMC Administration is at fault. The issue is not about paying for the wheel chairs - which BTW are free and supposed to be handled by the staff of GMC and not patient's relatives, its a question of demeaning the person requesting for a chair by questioning his honesty, integrity and plain civic sense by demanding a deposit when there is no such provision in the Hospital rules!. There are a number of people who come to GMC who have nothing to keep as deposit - what then, should they keep a relative as ransom? And if there is no one else at hand? My post was not intended to be a joke to amuse diaspora Goans, or just for the sake of posting as, presently, I am without occupation. I subscribe firmly to Frederick (F.N.) Noronha's dictum that an issue raised on the Internet somehow finds action taken on the ground.
